Speed Radar Lite is inspired by "Realistic Speed Radar" by @rushlink. Because that plugin caused huge FPS drop in my game, I decided to develop one which suits my needs.

I've developed this a while ago and has been using it for myself. I just want to share my plugin to the players who suffers performance drop when using LSPDFR. Enjoy!

What makes it different:

  • Simple and basic but contains most of the essential Speed Radar's functionalities

  • Written as LSPDFR plugin (no ScriptHookVDotNet required)

  • Designed and created with performance and optimization in mind

  • This plugin is very lightweight, thus almost NO FPS DROP and LAGGING when using it

FEATURES:

  • There are 4 Speed Radar modes (M): Auto/Front/Left/Rear. It can be switched using default "LControlKey+Home" key (configurable in the .ini file)

  • When you set the "Auto Mode", the active radar will be switched automatically based on: # When your car STOP, only front-facing and rear-facing speed radar will be active to capture vehicle's speed. (e.g. highway patrol speed trap); # When your car MOVING, left-facing speed radar will automatically be activated and rear-facing radar will be deactivated. (front and left are both active)

  • The purpose of left-facing radar is to capture vehicle's speed which coming from the opposite direction.

  • You may adjust the speed threshold (T) using "LControlKey+PgUp" and "LControlKey+PgDn" keys. (configurable in the .ini file)

  • It will sound a long beep when any vehicles exceed the speed threshold

  • Blip the speeding vehicle on the map (can be disabled in the .ini file for more realism). You may also configure the blip duration.

  • Display notification on captured speeding vehicle. (can be disabled in the .ini file for more realism)

  • Display speeding vehicle model and color on the notification. (can be disabled in the .ini file for more realism)

  • Speed Radar will be automatically suspended during pursuit or traffic stop

Stumbled across 4399 Games while looking for some casual browser games. The selection is huge and covers pretty much every genre. Some of the platformers and puzzle games on there are genuinely well-made for browser titles.

Started playing on Grow A Garden as a casual thing and now I check it daily. The gardening simulation is oddly satisfying — planting, watering, watching things grow. It's the kind of low-pressure game that works well as a mental break.

I like Liteig because it's lightweight and loads quickly even on slower connections. The game library isn't the biggest but everything on there runs smoothly. Good option when you want a no-fuss gaming break.

I keep a tab open with crazygames for when I need a break during work. They have a decent collection of browser games that run smoothly without any lag. The racing and shooting categories are where I usually end up spending most of my time.

As someone who plays Retro Bowl regularly, I liked how the article focused on the player experience rather than just listing features.
